KC Fun with the DCrew

I left Des Moines early Saturday morning and drove down to KC to celebrate my friend Meghan's bridal shower and bachelorette party and Lindsay's baby shower. It was a whirlwind 24 hour trip but I had so much fun. Spent a couple hours at the rooftop pool downtown and it was the best people watching ever - it was like watching an adult spring break. Had a crazy night out with the girls and got to have a sleepover with my best friend Amy and my goddaughter Ava. I'm a lucky girl to have such great girlfriends!

Stairs

Thought I'd see what E would do with stairs - he was more confused than anything and didn't make much progress but it was fun to watch.

Our Little Ham

Love these Hawaiian/plaid shorts from Baby Gap!

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day to the bestest daddy and husband ever! We're so lucky to have you in our life and love you so very much!

In addition to giving the Brian the day off from any diapers or bottles/meals, we sent him on a golfing adventure to play Stoneridge in Stillwater. It's rated the best public access course in the state and had been on his wishlist for quite a while. Brian can't wait until Ethan is old enough to complete their group of 4!

I think Ethan is saying "take me with you daddy!" He tried to hide in the trunk with the golfclubs and even put on his cutest golf outfit but didn't work. Only a few years away...

Ethan wanted to send a special shout out to Grandpa Davis & Grandpa Woods - Happy Father's day guys - we love you!

We made Brian's request for dinner (bbq beef brisket!)and Ethan got his own plate and did great eating meat for the first time. Cheers to all you dads out there! :::hugs:::

Chillin with Auntie Katie

Pool Time!

I took Friday off and had a great day hanging out with little man - it was finally hot enough to bust out the kiddie pool I had picked up for him. Once he got used to it I think he was a fan - his favorite part was throwing his cups and golf ball out of the pool and crawling after them. The swim diapers worked out pretty well - yesterday I picked up a couple pairs of swim trunks, swim shirts, and a sun hat so we're all set for our weekend up north over 4th of July weekend!

Go Twins!

The Twins finally have a winning streak going - hope they keep it up! Brian went to the game Wednesday night and I went Thursday afternoon.

Cheers to the Graduate!

Brian's sister Amy graduated with her Masters in Education from Iowa State last month - we're so proud of her! Brian's mom planned a great party - she wasn't able to leave the hospital so we took lots of pics for her. E had his party pants on even though he had a nasty cold - apparently we can't go to Iowa without him getting sick :(
