Halloween 2012

We had a super busy fall so Halloween snuck up on us this year.  We were still recovering from the fun wedding festivities the weekend before and didn't have it in us to chase down a new costume for E.  Good thing too, as he only wore it for 5 minutes before having a meltdown and refusing to wear it for the rest of the night.  Wouldn't even go outside to trick-or-treat so we had movie night on the couch instead.  Luckily we snapped a few pics of our little monkey before he disrobed.  Bella made a lovely fairy again - she is significantly better behaved when she has an outfit on so we kept it on her all evening ;)

Katie's Wedding - Professional Style

Marching down the aisle - he made it!

He looks pretty proud of himself!

Priceless - way to go mom!
Proud Parents of the Bride
Photos by the fabulous Melissa Oholendt Photography!  So many memories from that day. A highlight was experiencing the Hora dance for the first time.  It  kicked off with the bride & groom being hoisted up in chairs as Hava Nagila played and everyone danced in circles around them.  Mom and Dad were up next  - they rocked it!   Katie & Sam did a great job blending traditions from both families - love was all around and the celebration lasted well into the night.
Cheers to K + S!

Katie's Wedding - Candids

Such a fun day!  The wedding ceremony & reception were both at Aria at the Jeune Lune - an old warehouse that was converted into a theater and then recently into a gorgeous event space.  It's in the North Loop only a couple blocks away from Katie & Sam's loft.  The bride looked fabulous and both the ceremony and reception decor were stunning!  Ethan did so great - marched down the aisle in style!  Such a happy day watching my best friend get married - cheers to Katie & Sam!

Target Field Tour

While the wedding party was busy getting ready, family and relatives were treated to a private behind the scenes tour of Target Field!  Ethan throught the stadium was pretty cool - so did grandpa!

Super Auntie!

A tired little ring bearer and his beautiful date :)
All partied out  at the reception - time for bed!

Lucky boy - trains + breakfast in bed with Aunt Amy!

Teddy Grahams in Bed
Team Woods was honored to celebrate with the bride and groom as a Matron of Honor, Groomsman, and Ring Bearer!  Made for a busy weekend with 3 different schedules - luckily Aunt Amy came up from Iowa to be in charge of Master Ethan and was a lifesaver!  Was so reassuring to know he was in excellent hands so I could give my full attention to the bride.  E was in heaven surrounded by his favorite peeps all weekend and was looking sharp and on schedule thanks to Amy!  Hoping we can talk her into coming up in August for our next big family wedding ;)   Thanks so much Amy!

Needless to say it was a fun party :)
The weekend of October 27th was one to remember - we had so much fun celebrating Katie & Sam's wedding!  We stayed at the chic Hotel Minneapolis all weekend and the Friday night rehearsal dinner was in the party room at Security Lofts in the North Loop.  The Usems threw a great party!
