Turning 30 in Boston

Interview time!
My favorite Boston architect!
Boston Tea Party site from the hotel patio
Water Taxi to the airport
Bye Boston!

E helped me unpack my suitcase and was excited about the teddy's Hearsay sent with me!
I was in Boston Aug 22-24 for the LIMRA Social Media Conference.  Nothing says 30th birthday like a financial services forum ;) I was part of a panel presentation on the main stage the morning of the 23rd and then filmed an interview with my social media vendor that afternoon so it was a slightly stressful day but relieved that both went fairly well. Had a fun evening out on the town that night and was so lucky to be able to celebrate with my good friend Alissa who works in Boston!  Her office was close to my hotel so we had a sleepover and stayed up way too late chatting and drinking wine - perfect way to ring in a new decade since I had to be far from home.  Love Boston - great work trip and the best feeling ever to come home Friday night to my boys.

Katie's Shower & Bachelorette

Champagne Tasting!
Champagne Cupcakes

Mimosa Bar

Dinner at Rosa Mexicano

Had so much fun throwing Katie's shower & bachelorette party on August 11th.  It was quite the day!  We started with a shower in Burnsville - it was just beautiful - my mom outdid herself with the food and the house was gorgeous as always. We brought in a wine expert and kicked of the day with 8 rounds of champagne tasting - the Davis girls love bubbles :)  Heather was awesome and we had a beautiful day to sip outside on the deck.  After the shower we headed to the new Blast Blowdry Bar downtown for blowouts and drinks - so fun!  Had a yummy dinner at the super swanky Rosa Mexicano and then got picked up by a H2 Limo that was ridiculous - fireplace, plasmas etc. We hopped around to several bars but probably had the most fun dancing and drinking in the hummer. Ended the night on the rooftop at Brits and crashed at the Hyatt downtown after ordering pizza at 2am of course.   Great day celebrating the bride-to-be with her favorite ladies!

More Summer Randomness

Do not mess with the man's cars - he lines them up just so

Fort Carson, CO Dedication for Uncle Eric

We spent July 26th - 29th out in Colorado Springs at Fort Carson with Brian's family.  That Friday the Army dedicated a beautiful new wing on the base hospital in honor of Brian's brother Eric!  It was a touching ceremony and Brian gave a great speech.  So fun to watch Eric Scott unveil the new building signs!  We stayed on base and really appreciate the Army making the weekend so special.  E sure thought it was a cool place - tanks and big trucks and helicopters everywhere!  He had so much fun playing with his cousins.  We stayed an extra day and went out to Garden of the Gods and took the Cog Railway to the top of Pike's Peak - E loved it!  I was relieved that both flights went really well - he rocked them!
