Katie and I ran off to NYC Sept 14-16 to celebrate her upcoming wedding.  She lived in Manhattan for 3 years after college and I was a frequent visitor - fun to check out her old stomping grounds!  Erin graciously hosted us for the weekend at her awesome apartment in midtown. Loved hoping around the city, eating out, shopping in Soho, roaming a street fair in Chinatown, an afternoon at the spa, and a night out on the town with her east coast gals.  Drinks sure were tasty but wow were they pricey!  Such a fun city to visit - cheers!

Flashback to our glory days 8 years ago ;)
Spent an amazing and much needed girls weekend in Chicago September 6-9 with friends from college.  Amy's parents generously let us stay at their beautiful two bedroom apartment in the heart of the city overlooking the lake.  Lucky us!  Had a great weekend shopping, cheering on the Cyclones, eating and drinking way too much, and staying up super late reminiscing about the good old days.  Love these ladies - so glad we've stayed close and a weekend getaway was the perfect way for us to kick off and celebrate our 30s!

Hidden Acres Family Camp

Brian grew up spending a week at Hidden Acres in Dayton, IA every summer and going to family camp over Labor Day weekend with the Woods Clan.  We headed down to Iowa to join his fam at camp on 9/2.  E got to ride a horsey for the first time - old Cleo was sweet and gentle - he talked about Cleo for days afterwards!

Happy 30th Brian!

Had fun celebrating 3-0 with the birthday boy on 8/31!  We both took the day off and hit the links to play 18.  Had some of Brian's buddys over for dinner and drinks - he was feeling pretty happy by the end of the night :)  Cheers to the next 30!

Trains + Cars = Happy Boy!

Turning 30 in Boston

Interview time!
My favorite Boston architect!

Water Taxi to the airport
Bye Boston!

E helped me unpack my suitcase and was excited about the teddy's Hearsay sent with me!
I was in Boston Aug 22-24 for the LIMRA Social Media Conference.  Nothing says 30th birthday like a financial services forum ;) I was part of a panel presentation on the main stage the morning of the 23rd and then filmed an interview with my social media vendor that afternoon so it was a slightly stressful day but relieved that both went fairly well. Had a fun evening out on the town that night and was so lucky to be able to celebrate with my good friend Alissa who works in Boston!  Her office was close to my hotel so we had a sleepover and stayed up way too late chatting and drinking wine - perfect way to ring in a new decade since I had to be far from home.  Love Boston - great work trip and the best feeling ever to come home Friday night to my boys.

Katie's Shower & Bachelorette

Champagne Tasting!
Champagne Cupcakes

Mimosa Bar

Dinner at Rosa Mexicano

Had so much fun throwing Katie's shower & bachelorette party on August 11th.  It was quite the day!  We started with a shower in Burnsville - it was just beautiful - my mom outdid herself with the food and the house was gorgeous as always. We brought in a wine expert and kicked of the day with 8 rounds of champagne tasting - the Davis girls love bubbles :)  Heather was awesome and we had a beautiful day to sip outside on the deck.  After the shower we headed to the new Blast Blowdry Bar downtown for blowouts and drinks - so fun!  Had a yummy dinner at the super swanky Rosa Mexicano and then got picked up by a H2 Limo that was ridiculous - fireplace, plasmas etc. We hopped around to several bars but probably had the most fun dancing and drinking in the hummer. Ended the night on the rooftop at Brits and crashed at the Hyatt downtown after ordering pizza at 2am of course.   Great day celebrating the bride-to-be with her favorite ladies!
