Miss Bella had a rough day yesterday and would be mortified if she knew I was posting these pictures as it's not her best look ;) She was at the vet for a dental cleaning where they put her under general anesthesia and do a deep cleaning under the gums etc. Brian got a call when she was out cold on the table that 3 of her teeth had already fallen out and that they'd like to extract 10 additional teeth that were in bad shape. Yikes! We went ahead and had them do the procedure as they said it would be less painful in the long run and extend her lifespan if we had them taken care of now. (Apparently yorkies are prone to teeth issues) She was pretty groggy when we picked her up and stumbled around like a drunken sailor. We're giving her lots of lovies and she is a little more spunky today. She gets to eat gourmet wet dog food for a week which she is loving and gets pain medication for the next few days. She still has a bunch of teeth left and should be able to eat normally after a few days. We shouldn't have put off the cleaning as long as we did so the $1000 bill is a good lesson learned.
