16 lbs 13 oz of Sickness

We are quite fortunate that we made it through the first 6 months without a single urgent care or sick appointment so our luck was bound to run out. E wasn't eating much Sunday afternoon and started to get fussy and by the evening he was burning up. His cough got worse and then came the wheezing and hives. RSV has been going around daycare so didn't want to let this one go unchecked. I ran into the office super early to grab my laptop so I could work from home with baby and called the doctor office as soon as they opened and was able to squeeze in for an afternoon appointment. Thankfully his lungs, ears, & throat checked out clear and the doctor sent us home with a "nasty virus but nothing we can give him" all clear report. We finally got the fever licked in the middle of the night and by some miracle he didn't get kicked out of daycare today and seems to be back to his playful self.

On a fun note E weighed in at 16 lbs 13 oz and loved tugging on the doctor's stethoscope during the exam and was quite the little ham on the table.

Forgot to mention this last week. E got his 2nd incident report from daycare and it just cracked me up. "Another Child pulled himself up onto the jumper Ethan was in and reached to touch Ethan and scratched him. Then, Ethan stuck his hand in the other child's mouth and received a bite. We washed out the affected area and gave him lots of hugs." Too funny. Both wounds had "healed" and disapeared before we got there so he recovered just fine.
