Cheering on the Twins

Brian gets to celebrate his birthday at the Twins game tonight. It's through work so he is getting wined and dined and watching from a suite. Lucky guy. We sent him off wearing our Daddy's All Star Jersey and after a diaper blowout and lots of spitup we're now watching the game on TV and cheering the boys on wearing our Nike Twins onsie. It's still a little big on him but by playoffs it should fit perfectly!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

We love you so much and hope you're having a great birthday! We had so much fun meeting your coworkers this morning and taking you to lunch. Ethan has been working on smiling just for your birthday...

5 Weeks Old

Week 5 was a really good week. Ethan continues to be an angel baby - loving his laid back personality. We've had a couple nights of sleeping 4 and 5 hour stretches so will drop one of the middle of the night feedings soon. He weighs 9 lbs 7 ounces now - so big! His coordination is improving - he recently discovered how to put his fingers in his mouth and loves to slurp loudly on them.

Ethan Has A Crush...

Thanks to Facebook I reconnected with my friend Lindsay from high school a couple months ago and found out our due dates were with in weeks of each other. Since we're both on maternity leave we thought it would be fun to catch up over lunch with the babies so we met up yesterday at the mall. So wonderful to see her - lots has happened in the last 9 years so we had a blast catching up. Her daughter Neva was born on July 5th so Ethan got to hang out with an older lady. Macy's had a really nice lounge so after eating and diaper changes we let them cuddle and E tried to hold her hand - it was a pretty smooth move. He thinks she is really pretty and hopes they get to hang out again soon!

A Night At The Race Track

Brian had a work event at Canterbury Park so we decided to make it a family outing since it was s beautiful day. We had lots of fun watching the horseys run and E was good luck - we bet on the winning horse twice. The park was surprisingly family friendly - kids everywhere and the restroom even had a separate changing room which was nice. The people watching was phenomenal as well - a good mix of white trash, families, college kids, elderly, and business men. Ended up being a fun night out for the Woods Family!

My friend Ashley got Ethan this adorable hooded sweatshirt from store Janie and Jack. They live in New England so the lobster and anchor are so fitting! It got chilly at the track when the sun went down so I was pretty excited to put the hoodie on him!

Birthday Celebration

Monday evening we celebrated Katie and my birthday along with Brian's with a lovely steak dinner in Burnsville. It was a special evening as Katie and I have not been able to celebrate together in 9 years as she's been in Boston, NYC, & Cambodia.

Dinner was amazing - thanks mom! Bella was in doggy heaven when she saw all the meat...

Birthday Flowers + Outfit

Brian came home from work with some beautiful birthday flowers for me on Monday. Ethan's gift to me was sleeping like an angel several nights in a row and letting me dress him up in my favorite newborn outfit. It finally fit him this week - I've been waiting patiently to dress him in this since he was born! The shorts look more like pants, but he looks like he is ready to go sailing, golfing, or to a polo match - love it!
